PERFECT officiant...
We had a fantastic experience with Richard. He was flexible and answered every question I could think of! He let us have full control of what the ceremony would consist of (which I loved). We have had so many compliments on our ceremony. Richard is so friendly and interacted with our family and guests. Many of our family members came up to us afterwards and were so impressed how engaging he was! Overall perfect experience!

Richard was fantastic! Like probably a lot of people, my fiance and I didn't have anyone picked out to be our officiant for our wedding and we really had no idea where to find someone. It's nerve wracking to say the least to just pick someone at random to speak during the most important moment of your life! But I had a good feeling about him, so we met up and knew he was the one! He was incredibly sweet and thoughtful and really wanted to make sure our wedding ceremony was exactly what we wanted.

The thought of planning our wedding was very overwhelming. Especially the wheres, hows, and then the vows. Fortunately, my husband stumbled across Richard! If you are still contemplating and stressing about the ceremony, DONT. Email Richard. He literally produced the EASY button for the both of us. He is so nice and pleasant and reminds you that this is going to be your day. You are in charge.

Our wedding was planned very quickly. We only had about 1 month to plan it couldn't find an officiant that was willing to meet us at the location of the wedding, until i stumbled upon this website where we found Richard. He went above and beyond and was very professional. He was quick to get back to me with any questions we had, always responding to my emails the same day, usually within an hour! He wrote our entire wedding script, and was able to come up with exactly what we wanted.

My husband and I graduated from the UA in 2013 and have lived in Dallas the last 4 years. When we got engaged, there was no question we would have our wedding in Fayetteville, but we quickly learned how difficult it can be to find and work with vendors when you don't live in the same town. Richard helped make our ceremony process so easy! He was quick to respond to our questions, completely open to our ideas on the wedding script, provided us valuable information and resources leading up to the wedding and made us feel so comfortable during the ceremony the day of.

I began officiating after retiring ten years ago from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, where I had served 20 years as Vice Chancellor for Government and Community Relations.

I have officiated at over 200 weddings at over 60 different venues.

I have no restrictive policies. The wedding is entirely the couple’s event, and I try to accommodate their every wish.

I have married over 230 couples.

Typically, I schedule a no-cost, no-obligation coffee shop “get acquainted” visit in Fayetteville with couples who are considering me as their officiant. That, however, is not a requirement. Some couples book me, then we visit much closer to the wedding date, and sometimes I meet a couple for the first time at the wedding.

My fee for a Washington County wedding is $325.

My fee for a Benton County wedding is $400.

To block out the dates on my calendar, I require a $100 deposit up front. While not refundable, the $100 does apply toward the total.

The balance can be paid anytime up to one week before the wedding.
